Stay Safe at RemoteNow
RemoteNow is located in a forest by a bog lake, on natural peatland. Please be mindful of the surroundings and take care of yourself, others and nature.
Smoking
Smoking is only allowed in the designated smoking area. Do not smoke near the buildings, on terraces or in the surrounding nature – the peat is highly flammable.
Open fire
Campfires and other open flames are only allowed in designated areas and with the hosts’ permission. Candles may be used in the Café House, but never leave them unattended. Make sure all candles are extinguished before going to bed.
Heating the stoves
Only use the stoves according to the hosts’ instructions. Do not overheat them or change any settings yourself. If in doubt, ask.
Heating in the rooms
The infrared panels in the rooms are for heating the room only. Do not cover them or use them to dry clothes or towels. If you need a dry towel, just ask and we’ll give you a fresh one.
Swimming in the bog lake
The water in the bog lake is naturally cold and there are underwater springs. Be careful when swimming and stay within your abilities.
From sauna to lake
Going from a hot sauna into a cold lake puts considerable strain on the body. Take it easy, know your limits and be especially careful.
Wildlife
We are in a forest by a bog lake – this is Estonian nature in its natural state. If you encounter a wild animal, stay calm, keep your distance and enjoy the view. Do not approach or try to feed it.
When leaving
When you leave your room or any building, please close all doors and windows.
If you notice a danger or need help
If you need help or are unsure about anything, contact your hosts at +372 50 10 539. If you notice smoke, fire or any other dangerous situation, inform your hosts immediately. In an emergency, call 112.
